Inclusion Alertness Website Project
The "Inclusion Alertness" project addresses the pressing need for greater awareness and support for young people with dyspraxia. Dyspraxia, a developmental coordination disorder, often results in difficulties with movement, coordination, and sometimes social interactions, leading to challenges in educational and social settings. The project aims to fill the knowledge gap among youth workers, educators, and caregivers by providing comprehensive resources and strategies. By enhancing understanding and support mechanisms, the project seeks to improve the social inclusion and overall well-being of individuals with dyspraxia.
What is Dyspraxia?
Dyspraxia is a condition affecting physical coordination. It causes a young person to perform less well than expected in daily activities for their age and appear to be a barge. Dyspraxia has been referred to as a "hidden handicap ", as although someone with dyspraxia may look "normal", they will have underlying problems that may affect their life.
Inclusion Alertness
Mission
Vision
We envision a society where young people with dyspraxia are understood, included, and given the opportunity to reach their full potential. By raising awareness and equipping those who work with youth, we strive for a future where the barriers faced by individuals with dyspraxia are minimized, promoting equality and social inclusion for all.
